NEW HAMPSHIRE COAST (SEP. 7, 2009)

It's getting cold at night now...
Frost on the pumpkin, so to speak (even though I haven't seen one of those yet); so we bit the bullet and unpacked the electric blanket this morning... Hate to admit it, but there it is... The old bones can't take too much cold any more, and, I'm sure, we're in for more of the same as the year winds down...
Lu did house cleaning this morning, and I fiddled with broken, and/or messed up stuff in and around the trailer and truck...
Didn't tell you yesterday that Molly took a nosedive after I switched her off and switched to Jack... Not much to tell, actually... Her "halter" (which had been fastened to the area under the dashboard) fell off... I might add that I have a sneaking suspicion it might've been jealousy, but who's to know, really?
After that work was accomplished, we headed over to Dover, and shopped at (all together now): Walmart !!!
Home with the groceries... Then off to do the "loop" around the seashore of New Hampshire... Took Hwy 1 down to Massachusetts (actually crossed the border), then over to Hwy 1-A on Hwy 286.
The rest of what we did is essentially shown on the pictures here:

A wonderful and full day of sigtseeing...
Even got a peak at William Whipple's and John Paul Jones' homes...
Everyone knows about John Paul Jones, but probably not too many know that Mr. Whipple was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence... That's your history lesson for today (mine, too), and that's it for tonight...
We're heading to Bar Harbor, Maine, tomorrow morning, where we'll spen 12 days of utter bliss! That's the plan anyway... So hear us, weathergods... We need another month of fantastic New England weather!
Bye for now!
