What a day we had roaming around Mystic Seaport…
It’s a “living” museum, and quite large in area, so it took us the better part of four hours to see most of it.
The cost ($40/2) included a second day free pass, so we might head back (before we leave) to catch what we missed today… Since there are so many other areas around here to explore, we’ll have to wait and see what happens… Another factor is the weather… It’s iffy for the next few days, so, if it rains, we won’t be doing anything outdoorsy, if you know what I mean…
I’ve made comments on my pictures, so our day in Mystic is pretty much documented there, which means, I really don’t need to carry on with this dialog here, now, do I?
So, let me wrap it up by telling you about my morning - before we left to sightsee…
During the last rain, we had a small leak (at the head of our bed), which needed to be plugged… It ruined the book I had placed on the shelf above my bed, and that’s a no-no… I love books, but I’m digressing…
We found a RV Parts store close by last evening, but was too late to get there before they closed, so we headed there at 9:00 this morning...
Of course, when you’re in a “toy” store, one thing leads to another, and I came home with caulking and a new sewer hose, which was a mistake, since it took me a good half hour just to fasten the darn thing to the existing coupling… Can’t understand why the “small” things takes forever to accomplish?
Anyway, I got that done, and then climbed onto the roof, where I “gooped” the troubled area with a whole tube of caulking… Didn’t have a “spreader” but Luanne donated her little spatula for the task, so the day was saved!
That’s it… Look at the pictures, and make up your own mind if Lu and I had a great day, or not…

ReplyDeletehey there....if you're in Mystic you are close to the 2 big casinos,Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods.. we've been to both and they are something just to see, even if you dont gamble!! and the food is good there too...
...unfortunately we have 2 grandchildren all day Saturday, but if you really do head this way let us know, maybe we can work something out...BUT keep in mind our weather doesnt look good for Saturday, Sat night, and half of Sunday, all rain heavy at times, so they say....
good to hear from you guys...enjoy!! ;o)
Yep... Got your message, but forgot to answer... Story of my life...
ReplyDeleteWe're still not sure if we're going to go up there... I think it all depends on the weather... If there's a chance we're gonna be soaked, I don't think Luanne would want to go, but stranger things have happened...
I'm guessing we're not gonna go, because we have a "drive" day on Sunday... If we do, I'll post a message here and on my Facebook... Maybe we can touch bases in the morning?
Thanks for thinking about us!
