A DAY AT THE BEACH - OLD ORCHARD BEACH (SEP. 23, 2009)

Hate to disappoint those of you who look forward to a long and detailed description of our daily grind, as we struggle our way through the States…
This is going to be short and sweet, because there isn’t really anything to write about…
We spent the majority of the morning looking at maps and information brochures getting our next destinations planned…
Got reservations taken care of until November 3, so we’re good for a while…
In case you’re interested, we’re spending the majority of our time along the coast: Virginia Beach, VA; Newport, NC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Charleston, SC; and a place called Hardeeville, very close to Savannah, GA…. How cool is that?
After that was done, we headed to the beach - only a couple of miles down the road - and found it to be too wonderful to wear long pants (it’s been cold here for a few days, but today it decided to warm up, and we’re thankful!), so we dashed home… Got shorts on, picked up a lounge chair for me, Lu opted for a beach blanket, and headed back to sand, sun and relaxation…
What a life!
We baked for about an hour, then took a long walk (away from the sun, so we could toast our backs) along the almost deserted beach…
And that’s it… That’s what we did today…
