Here are a few pictures from our departure from home...
All hooked up and ready to go...
Mt. Baker was out to bid us Good Bye
Easy sailing........
We have now spent aboout three days at Cresent Bar Resort, on the Columbia River, about ten miles West of Quincy, WA.
The weather has been sweltering (for us who aren't used to above 90 degree days), but thankfully, the nights cool down, and we've had no trouble sleeping.
My days (well, mornings, actually), so far, has been used to upgrade our plumbing system, or more precisely, replace some the old faucets for the bathroom sink and shower/tub, and, as usual, things have a way of taking twice as long as they should, only because the jobs has my name on them... Oh, well, I got things done, and Luanne and I actually had time to go for a long hike this morning before the sun got too high.
Also, after a long deliberation, we decided to buy another cell phone (since our T-Mobile doesn't seem to have any coverage down here by the water, and we really need to keep in touch with friends and relatives), so we trucked (literally) up to Wenatchee, about twenty some miles from here, and found our favorite stores: Costco, and Wallyworld (Walmart),
where we purchased the necessities....
It took me most of the evening to program the new cell phone, we had a super dinner, and now it's time to say good night........ Gotta rest up for tomorrow's Fourth of July Celebrations.
Auf Wiedersehn, etc...
